Carnival worker charged in underage sex case

The Chicago Tribune reports,

According to a probable cause affidavit unsealed Wednesday in the U.S. District Court in Hammond, Brendan Theodore Coetzee, 27, of Johannesburg, South Africa, faces one count of transporting a minor with the intent to engage in illegal sexual contact.

Coetzee is in the country on a working visa.

According to the affidavit, Coetzee met the girl, who is younger than 14, while he was working with the unidentified carnival over Memorial Day weekend in Wisconsin.
